The Hive King
In 8th grade, I ran an anonymous Beyoncé fan account.
Am I embarrassed by this?
A little.
But it was arguably my first exposure to art direction and branding.
I concepted all kinds of edits and series and even created a logo to watermark my work.
One of my edits was liked by Ashley McEverett, Beyoncé’s dance captain and best friend.
Pretty epic if you ask me.
I did all of the edits on my phone in an app that is equivalent to using Photoshop with only one layer… yes, really.
So looking back, I am pretty impressed with what I was able to create.
I got too busy to keep up with it, but if all else fails with my career, I still have the password and know I can trust The Hive to fall back on.
TLDR: Where would I be without Beyoncé?
